WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT SUPERSTITION?
I am going to start by defining superstition, it is the belief opposite to the reason that attributes a magic explanation to things. Very important people were superstitious such as Napoleon, Socrates, Julio Cesar and Samuel Johnson. Napoleon feared black cats, Socrates feared the evil eye, Julio Cesar feared dreams and Samuel Johnson always got in or got out buildings with the right leg.
On the one hand, there are superstitions that are bad, such as number 13, to see a black cat, to go under a ladder, to spill salt, to open an umbrella inside the house, to light three cigarrettes with the same match, to see a crooked picture, to break a mirror, etc. Each of them has its opposite, for example, if you break a mirror you will have to take it and throw it in a bucket so that won't have bad luck.
On the other hand, there are a superstitions that are good, such as hang a horseshoe behind the door, to spit, to blow the candles, to find a four- leaf clover, to touch wood, to throw rice at wedding, to carry a rabbit's foot, to cross your fingers, etc. I have found a song whose name is 'Touch wood' by Joan Manuel Serrat, which is about this topic.
In my opinion older people believe in superstitions but fewer and fewer people believe in them. There will be people who believe that and others will not but the important thing is that some superstitions have many years and now some people believe in them. I believe that in the future there will be fewer people who believe in them,
